Christians back Israel

Christians honor Israel at Sunday services
WASHINGTON (JTA) -- More than 900 churches in the United States participated in a Christian Zionist organization's event honoring Israel.

CUFI Sunday, sponsored by Christians United For Israel, was incorporated into the regular Sunday church service.

Although varying from church to church, the service generally included a sermon about the Jewish state and a request to sign the group's "Israel Pledge." The pledge states that the Jewish people "have a right to live in their ancient land of Israel" and that Israel has the right to defend itself from terrorism.

Churches from all 50 states, and a total of 1,100 churches in 49 countries, participated in the event, according to CUFI...

No to Two State Solution!

From Women in Green:

Dear Friends,

At a time when internal and external enemies pressure Israel to hand over parts of our Land, our answer is clear:

Press Release
Jewish Activists Organize against a "Two State Solution"
PRESS CONFERENCE
Wednesday, May 20th at 5 pm
At JFK Airport, terminal 4, Fourth Floor

Major activists on behalf of the Land of Israel are organizing to declare that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people for over 3,000 years and should not be negotiated away. The Bible provides the clearest proof that this Land was given to the Jewish people and throughout history no other nation or people ever built a state within its borders. From the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and until 1948, no people ever claimed that this was their land except the Jewish people. The notion that this land is "Palestinian" is an egregious mistake based on ignorance of history.

The purpose of this grassroots effort is to educate the world to this fact: the Land of Israel has been connected with the Jewish people for over three millennia and no other people has a right to this Land. The Arabs are among those who invaded the Land and have no legal rights to establish a sovereign nation within the borders of the Land. This was recognized by the Balfour declaration and confirmed by the League of Nations. The new-found idea that the Land belongs to any other nation is a new idea which has as its aim the separation of the true owner from its land. We also should remember the soldiers who fell fighting for this Land and the sacrifices of the pioneers who built what is now a flourishing land and country.

This grassroots effort is also directed at all major Jewish organizations calling upon them to reaffirm unequivocally their commitment to the Jewish People's Biblical Heritage and its unbreakable bond with the Land. Major concepts, principles and precepts that are at the foundation of all civilizations have their origins in the Bible. The activists have now reached more than 30,000 people residing all over the world and who are in contact via email. We have circulated a petition to formally request that all Major Religious Jewish Organizations, and especially those committed to the Torah, express a clear message, that the Land of Israel is our Heritage from Biblical times and that the Jewish people oppose ceding any part of Biblical Israel to any foreign nation. The tragedy of Gush Katif (the withdrawal from Gaza) must not be repeated. The letter may be accessed via this link, Letter to Religious Jewish Organizations.

Featured speakers include Rabbi Chaim Richman from the Temple Institute in Jerusalem, Rabbi Algaze from The World Committee for the Land of Israel, Rabbi Moshe Goldsmith - Mayor of Itamar, Shomron and Morton Klein of the Zionist Organization of America. We will also hear greetings and blessings from Rabbanim and political leaders in Israel .

We proclaim that we are partners with the settlement enterprise to proudly settle and protect the Holy Land, the Land of our Ancestors, in Judea and Samaria and throughout the entire Promised Land and do not reject our Biblical birthright - our precious gift from G-d.

Entrance from rear of building. Park by Blue Parking and bring your parking ticket so that the Jewish Chaplain, Rabbi Rackman, will have it validated for 4 hours of free parking. We would appreciate knowing if you will attend since space is limited. Send an email to eyisrael1@gmail.com cc: faigerayzel@gmail.com

Let them grow, let them grow, let them grow!

Israel has every legal and biblical right to maintain and expand their Jewish pioneering communities ("settlements") in the Holy Land of Israel. After all, isn't it the Promised Land of Israel, not Ishmael? Both the Bible and even the accursed Koran acknowledge this plain truth.

All Israeli governments since 1967 have held that Israeli settlements are legal according to the 1907 Hague Convention that permits the administering authority to utilize public land and to enjoy its "usufruct" ("fruits").12 Moreover, Israeli governments have consistently argued that the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention, especially Article 49 which deals with population transfer, has no legal applicability to the West Bank and Gaza, where there was no recognized sovereign power before the entry of Israeli forces on 5 June 1967.
- "DOES THE INTERNATIONAL NEWS MEDIA OVERLOOK ISRAEL'S LEGAL RIGHTS IN THE PALESTINIAN- ISRAELI CONFLICT?

It is imperative that there begins, today, a campaign among world Jewry to explain the full extent of the Arab hatred and danger. The complete truth must be told to the masses of good Jews both to justify the need to remove the Arabs and to expose the dangers of the liberal Establishment bloc.

The Two Witnesses

Will the Church of God Welcome the Two Witnesses?
Church of God minister Arlen Berkey, in "The Work of God in the Laodicean Era," makes a statement nobody in God's Church would disagree with: "The whole world will soon know about the two witnesses. They will not be welcome by this world."

The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11
The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11. Who are these two prophets? What do they have to say? Why are they called the two witnesses? How will their message be proclaimed? And is there any special significance to the fact that they're headquartered in Jerusalem?

Two Witnesses to Testify in Jerusalem Against Europe
Two controversial figures, referred to in the Book of Revelation as two witnesses, two olive trees, two candlesticks and two prophets, will boldly declare GOD'S JUDGMENTS and proclaim the LORD'S CONTROVERSY (Micah 3:8; 6:1-2), delivering a BLISTERING MESSAGE and a SCORCHING CONDEMNATION -- just before NUCLEAR FIRE AND BRIMSTONE RAINS DOWN upon those who've rejected GOD'S ULTIMATUM (Isaiah 41:27; 30:27).

Sympathy for the devil

Re: Pope in Bethlehem: A missed opportunity

If the pope were truly a Christian, one who submits to the Word of God rather than idolatrous traditions of men; and if the German pope were truly an honest man, he wouldn't have aided and abetted the big lie of "Palestine" but would have decried the Arab occupation of the little town of Bethlehem (the City of David, where Jewish King David was born and his Jewish descendant Yeshua was born) that has perverted it into the City of Mohammud!

Apparently the pope failed to hear the cries of Rachel for her children to return, because he was too busy having sympathy for the devil. Regardless, in the words of the prophet Jeremiah:

So says God: "A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping; Rachel weeps for her children, she refuses to be comforted, for her children, who is not." So says God: "Keep your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for there is reward for your effort, says God; and they shall return from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for your future, says God, and the children shall return to their border."

Netanyahu and Obama meeting

When Bibi Meets Obama

When Bibi Meets Obama
Bibi is about to meet with Obama. For the occasion, at the request of a reader, I've redone a Dry Bones cartoon classic that, more than 30 years ago, back in 1977, gave Jimmy Carter an accurate history lesson in Occupied Territories.

If the reports leaking out of Washington are accurate, the new President seems stuck with the old misconceptions that withdrawing from territory will placate those who lust for our destruction and that America can help by negotiating on behalf of the Arab states that refuse to negotiate directly with the Jewish State of Israel.

The teacher in the 1977 'toon was Menahem Begin, then Israel's feisty Prime Minister. The teacher in today's cartoon is Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu, Israel's current Prime Minister.
-Dry Bones- Israel's Political Comic Strip Since 1973

************
The scary thing is president usurper Soetoro/Obama would agree they're occupied territories (ignorant of Manifest Destiny and blind to our Israelite identity as Menashe ben Yosef) and abuse that map with demands for "painful concessions" and "painful compromises" from the American people like the bloody vulture Shimon Peres demands from Israel! Don't be surprised to see liberal and treacherous calls for an American peace process that dismembers us piece by piece...measure for measure for what we did against the Jews of Gaza and Gush Katif.

Yonatan Bassi fails again

From:
Women For Israel's Tomorrow (Women in Green)

Dear Friends,

Below please find Michael Freund's excellent commentary on Yonatan Bassi's chutzpadik testimony.

This is the time to remind you that the trial by the State of Israel against Nadia Matar on the issue of Yonatan Bassi will continue on Tuesday, June 16, at 1:00pm. Nadia's attorney Yoram Sheftel has called upon Bassi to come and testify. We will send an email closer to the date of the trial with all the details.

Reminder: Nadia has been accused of "insulting a public official" after she wrote a letter to Yonatan Bassi, prior to the uprooting from Gush Katif, urging him not to give a hand to the crime of expelling Jews from their homeland.

Chutzpah of the Year Award
May 11, 2009
by Michael Freund

It may only be May, but I think we already have a winner for the 2009 Chutzpah of the Year Award.

Testifying yesterday before the national commission of inquiry into the treatment of the Jews expelled from Gaza, Yonatan Bassi, who headed the government agency which completely mishandled their resettlement, naturally decided to duck all responsibility for his failures and instead pointed the finger of blame at the victims themselves.

Bassi had the gall to declare that the former residents of Gush Katif, who were summarily thrown out of their homes back in August 2005, were "largely to blame for their own predicament" according to Ha'aretz.

He insisted that the government had done everything it could to help them rebuild their lives, and that they had chosen not to cooperate. "The cow," Bassi said, using a rather odd analogy, "wants to feed more than the calf wants to eat."

I had to read his remarks twice, and pinch myself on the arm, to make sure that this wasn't some kind of heartless joke.

The fact of the matter is that there is almost universal recognition that the so-called "resettlement" of Gaza's Jews was ill-conceived, poorly-planned and disastrously-administered. Indeed, at a press conference yesterday prior to the state of the hearings, Doron Ben Shlomi, the head of the commission of inquiry, revealed that some 30 to 40 percent of Gaza's former Jewish residents still do not have permanent housing despite the passage of nearly 4 years since they were compelled to leave their homes. He noted that there are 300 families who are still stuck in temporary quarters, without the means to find permanent housing.

For Bassi to blame these innocent people who were forcibly uprooted against their will is simply unconscionable and pathetic, and it says more about him than it does about those he is trying to defame.

It takes a real man to admit when he is wrong, the old saying goes. Well, I might add, it takes a real jerk to cast the blame on others for his own failings - as Yonatan Bassi has so clearly demonstrated.

Send Jews packing?

Chief Rabbi to Pope: Tell the world Jews belong in Israel

************

Will the Nazi pope help drive Jews home to Israel by exhorting his "faithful" it's permissable to put a fire under their butts to get them moving to where they belong, forcibly reminding them they're in exile? It appears that's what Jews demand who have failed to learn the lessons of the Holocaust.

Why did the Babylonian envoy fail to denounce the Nazi Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount for its daily discrimination against Jews and Christians who are denied their rights to pray and read the Bible upon the most holy site in the world? Truly this is against the spirit of the Prophets who announce Jerusalem will host a House of Prayer for All Peoples.

Shame on the chief rabbis for failing to teach Jews to follow Judaism to the Jewish Homeland and asking a pagan pope to preach the Word!

Israeli Ambassador visits Armstrong College

Israeli Ambassador visits Armstrong College

April 22, 2009
EDMOND–Ambassador Yoram Ettinger of the State of Israel (ret.) addressed students and faculty of Herbert W. Armstrong College during a forum April 22. The ambassador was visiting Oklahoma as the guest of the Jewish Federation of Greater Oklahoma, which contacted college officials after learning of AC’s involvement in the City of David excavations in Jerusalem through recent press about the dig.

Yoram Ettinger is a consultant to members of Israel’s Cabinet and Knesset, and regularly briefs United States legislators and their staff on Israel’s contribution to vital U.S. interests, on the root causes of Islamic terrorism and other issues of bilateral concern.

He formerly served as minister for congressional affairs at Israel's embassy in Washington (with a rank of an ambassador), Israel's consul general in Houston and director of Israel's Government Press Office.

He is the editor of two newsletters, Straight From The Jerusalem Cloakroom and Boardroom, which focus on national security issues and overseas investments in Israel's high-tech sector. He is also the chairman of special projects at the Ariel Center for Policy Research.

Ambassador Ettinger spoke to AC students and faculty about the unique relationship between the United States and Israel, highlighting the many Old Testament influences in early American history. He spoke of how the early settlers compared themselves to the Israelites when they left Egypt, with Pharaoh being King George, Egypt being England, the Atlantic being the Red Sea and the new world being the Promised Land.

He pointed out that many early colleges in America had Hebrew phrases inscribed on their walls, and how Moses was pictured facing the Speaker of the House in the U.S. Capitol and with the ten commandments at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ambassador Ettinger went on to discuss what he called the "immoral" land-for-peace concessions Israel has been pressured to make by the international community in recent years. “Peace is a fundamental right and should not be paid for,” he said. “There is no precedent for land for peace in all of history, except for Nazi Germany during World War II.” In that case, he explained, Germany had been the aggressor, taking land from Poland and other countries. “Rewarding aggression is morally wrong,” he said.

He went on to say that a nation can survive by ignoring its history no more than a tree can survive without its roots. “Israel’s cradle of history is the chief axis of our security,” he said, referring to the regions of Judea and Samaria. “Giving that up would be the death of the nation.”

After his address, the ambassador spoke with Chancellor Gerald Flurry for a few minutes. Before leaving he complimented the students' level of respect and their attentiveness. “The climate in there was very nice. I wish we had a climate like that in the other places and schools where I’ve spoken,” the ambassador said.

************

It's great Mr. Ettinger recognizes Judea and Samaria (Yehudah and Shomeron) as Israel's "cradle of history" and vital to the security of the nation. Such comments were apparently well-received by those gathered at the Herbert W. Armstrong College. Strangely, the Philadelphia Church of God (Messrs. Gerald and Stephen Flurry) had the chutzpah to condemn many of the strong politico-religious views he espoused as "radical" and "extremist" when they were expressed by the Temple Mount Faithful and little ol' me. (See I'm not a terrorist) . Sadly, it appears they're still looking to men of stature.

Does Mr. Ettinger recognize that Jerusalem is the crown of Israel and the Temple Mount is the crown jewel? For Jews and Israelis to woefully neglect to appreciate its precious history and restore its splendor reflects a deadly spiritual condition in the nation and people of Israel! To permit sworn enemies to trample Judaism's holiest site and Nazi Muslims to discriminate against Jews and Christians daily, illegally forbidding them to pray or read the Bible upon the Temple Mount, exposes how far removed from their Hebrew roots Jews have become. Too many Jews have become Gentilized, just like the other nations rather than a light to them. Let's hope and pray this deplorable situation changes soon.

A House of Prayer For All Peoples?
Jewish guards prevent Christians and Jews from exercising their religious right to pray on the Temple Mount? That's right! Only Muslims have unlimited access to Judaism's most holy site. Only the Koran is permitted within. The Tanach (Jewish Scripture, known to much of the world as the "Old Testament") and Christian Scriptures (the New Testament) are forbidden. Yet Israel claims to respect the religious rights of all people.

Jews Must Demand Rights to Temple Mount
During a 1995 Root and Branch lecture in Jerusalem, Professor Nahum Rakover, author and then Deputy Attorney General of Israel, publicly agreed with me that it isn't illegal for Christians or Jews to pray upon the Temple Mount, even though it is forcibly prevented by the police.

Heirs of Jerusalem fight illegitimate claims

Israel plans to thwart division of Jerusalem

Nothing new under the sun: conflict between legitimate heirs of Jerusalem and those with illegitimate claims (from the “Palestinians” to the pope) aided and abetted by Jewish collaborators.

Conflict in Jerusalem
They’ve placed barbed wire all around their “yard,” freshly tarred their roof, have an Israeli flag flying & are still clearing out all the junk the Arabs threw in there for the past 7 years. It was exciting to drive through that Palestinian village as they looked on. Top 10 Questions for the Pope

Top 10 Questions for the Pope
by Aish.com Staff

As the Pope visits Israel, what key issues would you raise?

On May 11-15, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI is visiting Israel.

We asked Aish.com readers: If you could have a private audience to ask the Pope any question, what would it be?

There were over 100 great questions submitted in the comments section, and from there we identified the Top 10:

1) When will the Church address the question of Jewish manuscripts and Holy Temple vessels that may be in possession of the Vatican? Will you allow Israeli officials to search the hidden vaults?

2) How can the Jewish people feel part of a trusting relationship, in light of the failure of the Church and Pope Pius XII to speak out and act while Jews were being decimated in the Holocaust? And what is the Catholic Church doing today to prevent the rising anti-Semitism in Europe today?

3) How should Jews react to your move this year to reinstate Holocaust-denier Bishop Richard Williamson?

4) Why does the Church hold such a pro-Palestinian stand, like the recent comment accusing Israel of treating Gaza like a "big concentration camp"? And how do you explain your position of expecting Israel to give land away, in light of the clear biblical idea that the Land of Israel has been given to the children of Israel and is sealed by a covenant for all time?

5) Why did it take until 1993 for the Vatican to formally recognize Israel, and why does the Vatican continue to refuse to appoint an ambassador to Israel?

6) At which point will the Vatican stand up and actively fight the threats of Islamic fundamentalism worldwide?

7) Do you believe that the only way to God is through Jesus, and without Jesus that all wind up burning in hell? If "yes," then can you honestly befriend any non-Christians without hypocrisy?

8) I understand that you have reinstated a prayer calling for the conversion of the Jews. Is this true, and why would you bring back such an offensive practice?

9) Will the Catholic Church join the wider Christian movement in allowing priests to marry?

10) Regardless of the past, how do you intend to nurture future relations with the Jewish people, in and outside of Israel?

Chief Rabbis Won’t Greet Pope at Airport

(IsraelNN.com) Chief Rabbis Shlomo Amar and Yona Metzger have been invited to four meetings with visiting Pope Benedict XVI. They will attend one, will not attend another, and are considering the others...

Group Calls on Rabbis to Boycott
At least one group has called on the rabbis not to meet at all with Pope Benedict. The Task Force to Save the Nation and Land, headed by Rabbis Yaakov Yosef and Shalom Dov Wolpe, conveyed its call by telegram to the Chief Rabbinate. The message reads, in part:

“This involves a desecration of G-d’s Name… The very meeting and recognition of him is related to idol worship, if not outright idol worship, and involves a sin that one must die for and not violate. Not to mention that the memories still linger of the persecution of the Inquisition, as well as the Church’s role in the Holocaust. In addition, this pope is known for his personal membership in the Hitler Youth, as well as his statements in favor of a Holocaust-denier.”

“All the above is many times worse,” the message states, “given that the visit is accompanied by pressures and agreements to give over to the Church parts of Mount Zion and other parts of the Holy Land. A welcome by the Chief Rabbis encourages this trend.”

Thankfully, at least not every Jew has lost his head, swooning over the sorcerer pope, seduced by his appeals for peace while waging war: Europe's new crusade to take Jerusalem!

The proper Jewish response to the Babylonian envoy would be to demand the Temple treasures and Judaica Rome holds hostage and refuse to permit the pagan pope to step foot in the Holy Land of Israel until they are released.

Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall by David Ben-Ariel

Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall is destined to become a national debate and an international controversy because it dares to speak the plain truth in a world of lies!

Beyond Babylon
Introduction

Beyond Babylon
Chapter 1
Survival Guaranteed!

The DEVASTATION unleashed against America and her British allies was without precedent. Destruction was everywhere and a body count impossible. The catastrophe was beyond calculation.

Europe - gripped with a messianic furor - justified this mass destruction of the body to "save the soul." Besides, they have the blessing of the pope. His white robes are stained with the blood of many martyrs.

Beyond Babylon
Chapter 2
Why National Defeat?

Why are we in mortal danger? Why will the American, British and Jewish people SUFFER national defeat? How could Europe ever turn against us?

Beyond Babylon
Chapter 3
Truth or Consequences

As global tensions increase, and threats of confrontation escalate, we might very well wonder whether humanity will survive. Unless there’s a GOD to intervene, we have a bleak future indeed: a DEAD PLANET! Will earth become a nuclear fireball? Will charred bones - aftermath of unleashed atomic fires - and the smoldering ruins of a suicidal civilization be all that’s left?

Beyond Babylon
Chapter 4
Victims of Tradition

Whenever our behavior gets out of control, God lets us loose control! When we’re held hostage to bad habits, and refuse to let them go, we go into captivity! A national lack of discipline results in God sending corrective punishment! Then we wake up and get with it, and beg God to save us. The whole purpose is to bring us to our knees and senses.

Beyond Babylon
Chapter 5
Europe's Fate

What’s going to happen to Europe? We know what’s going to happen to the American and British peoples, as well as to our Jewish brethren. The coming WORLD CRISIS is prophesied to fall especially hard on them. Why?

Beyond Babylon
Chapter 6
Jesus and the Jews

Why don't the Jews accept Jesus?" I've been asked that so many times. My usual reply? "Why haven't the Christians?" At least the Jews are waiting for the proper imperial restoration. The Messiah's coming to sit on DAVID'S THRONE - not Caesar's or "St. Peter's." The Anointed One's going to rule from JERUSALEM - not Rome!

Beyond Babylon
Chapter 7
Elijah's Key Role

Israel's about to host the greatest showdown on earth! A spiritual conflict of interests will create such a scene in Jerusalem that the whole world will watch! Zion will be an arena of prophets and sorcerers, warriors and kings! The forces of good and evil are set to duel: the sons of light will battle the sons of darkness, and truth will confront error head-on!

Christian Zionists, Jews, and Israel

For the record, I am a Bible-believer, a Christian-Zionist (one who believes the Prophets foretold the restoration of Jews first of all 12 Tribes of Israel to the Promised Land of Israel before the end of this world as we know it).

I am not a Protestant or a "Jew for Jesus" and certainly not a member of the Roman Catholic Cult. I am a baptized member of the Sabbath-keeping Church of God (who believe the plain truth of the Bible that Herbert W. Armstrong taught).

It grieves me when I'm on various Jewish sites, pro-Israel sites, and some vainly try and pigeonhole my calls for Jews to follow Judaism to the Jewish Homeland to become better Jews and falsely accuse me of only "wanting Jews to die so Jesus can return." Nothing could be further from the truth! (Away with stereotypes! Are all Jews rich or liberal?). I share what Judaism teaches about aliyah (ascent, emigration to Eretz Yisrael - the Land of Israel). Did the Ramban want Jews to return to Zion and die so Jesus could return? Preposterous, eh? Indeed.

I also do not fall for the rapture myth, as some allege, striving to substantiate their theories as to why I have such a great love for Jews and Israel, failing to grasp that I truly believe in the Israelite origins of the West, especially the revelation of Joseph as the Anglo-Saxon peoples, as taught by Brit Am Israel and others, and am convinced the Jews are the ethnic brethren of British-Israelites (contrary to those groups who reject the Jews as illegitimate), and that the Land of Israel is also our ancient and future inheritance.

This precious knowledge and love for klal Yisrael (all Israel, collective 12 Tribes) is my God-given motivation and why I yearn to return to Zion and stay attached to it while in exile (due to an unjust deportation I've suffered for highlighting the plight of the Temple Mount under illegal Nazi-Muslim occupation).

The Bible clearly teaches, recognized by both Jews and Christians, that the Jews would again be living in the Promised Land of Israel in preparation for the coming of King Messiah. Judaism teaches it "hastens the day of redemption" and Christians say "amen." We can agree on that point and permit time to tell who fulfills the prophecies completely, as all will be revealed and Israel and Judah will be reunited, reconciled, and Jerusalem saved from Gentile occupation.

The Jews also believe that Elijah will herald the coming of the King to fulfill the Prophets and teach Torah, and Christians know the chief spokesman between the Two Witnesses will announce -- in the spirit of Elijah (who is dead and buried) -- the Kingdom of God.

I want Jews to return to Eretz Yisrael because it is loving obedience to God, as well as Israel's future construction of the Third Temple, the Temple of God (not just of the Jews as some slander) even though Israel must be warned not to trust Europe's lying guarantees of peace and security or their imminent Antiochus Epiphanes who will betray Israel and occupy Jerusalem and pollute the Temple of God, if they're not careful to hear and heed the Prophets.

Despite unwarranted hatred from some hypocritical Jews who treat all Christians shamefully, failing to distinguish between those who are honest friends of Jews and Israel and those who aren't, I want to express unconditional love to help save Jews from physical and spiritual harm.

I want Jews to live and prosper and love and obey God and be blessed rather than to continue to suffer escalating divine punishments for sin that will only intensify (Dan. 9:11). I hope to help avert another holocaust, one that will target the British-Israelites (the Lost Ten Tribes) and Jews, ignited by the German-dominated EU under Roman Catholic influence.

May all Twelve Tribes of Israel remember our Hebrew roots and biblical responsibilities, turn from our national idolatry and immorality (2 Chron. 7:14), and be restored to world power and prosperity and ascend even greater heights of glory as a truly United Kingdom, One Nation Under God.

From: Women For Israel's Tomorrow (Women in Green)

Dear Friends,

With the Pope's visit in Jerusalem and the upcoming trip of Netanyahu to the US, the battle for the Land of Israel and against the creation of a PLO State in our Biblical homeland is reaching a high.

Below are a list of activities taking place in the next few days.
We call upon all to participate in as many events as you can.

With Love for Israel,

Nadia Matar, Women in Green

1) THE BIBI- SAFEGUARD ISRAEL BUS CAMPAIGN- 90 BUSES!!

What can we tell you? You all are so great! The outpour of reactions to our Women in Green email a few days ago calling upon you to sponsor buses was overwhelming!! Friends of Israel from Israel, Australia, USA, Italy, France, England, Canada, etc., emailed us and pledged to sponsor full or partial ads on buses; ads that will counter the unbearable pressure put on the Prime Minister by the Israeli Left calling him to capitulate to the Arab enemy.

Thanks to all of you, the bus campaign will please G-d start on Sunday morning with 90 buses! Yes...Ninety!!
Fifty buses in Tel Aviv and 40 buses in Jerusalem will drive around all day long with a huge ad at the back strengthening the Prime Minister to stay strong and safeguard the Land of Israel. The translation of the Hebrew ad reads as follows:

BIBI!
SAFEGUARD ERETZ YISRAEL
for our sake and for the sake of the future generations

History will remember you as a strong leader
that does not cave in nor capitulate

To see the ad that will be put on the back of the buses please click on:

2) SAY "NO" TO A PALESTINIAN STATE
Received from ISRAPUNDIT - TED BELMAN
Please read, sign and send out this petition without delay!

Everyone on this list knows the dangers of a "Palestinian" Arab state to the Jewish Nation. Every person on this list understands that we must act and we must act now to oppose an Arab state in the heartland of Israel.

Susie Dym of Matot Arim and Robin Ticker, an activist in New York, have written the following petition to the major Orthodox Jewish Organizations and media outlets in the US. We might be able to appeal to their religious conscience to help build a campaign against a "Palestinian" Arab State. The major point of the petition is to build a database of people and synagogues; this is crucial.

Here is the petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/1eys/petition.html.

After signing it, please forward this email to everyone on your list, and ask them to do the same!

Let's reach 10,000 names by Yom Yerushalayim.

Thank you,
Yosef Rabin

3) PROTEST THE POPE'S VISIT
As we all know, the Pope's visit to Jerusalem is not an innocent visit but rather an anti-Israel statement and maybe even a visit to try and take away from us areas in Jerusalem and in the Galil. In addition, we will not forgive nor forget that Pope Benedict, who in his youth was a member of the Hitler youth, has pardoned bishops who are anti-semitic holocaust deniers. In one word, the Pope is certainly not a friend of Israel.

Women in Green calls upon all to join the grassroots quite interesting protest called for by "Generation to Generation" who are spreading thousands of emails calling upon all of us to protest by honking for a full minute at the exact time hat the Pope will start his speech at Yad Vashem:
Their email reads as follows:

Pope Benedict will be arriving in Israel this coming Monday May 11 2009, honored guest of the Government of Israel.

* This is the Pope who returned blatant and unashamed Holocaust denying Bishops to the Catholic fold: when there was a backlash of criticism, he did not rescind his decision, but only reluctantly stalled the process.
* This is the Pope who called upon countries who had decided to boycott the Durban 2 conference because of Antisemitic and Holocaust Denying messages, to reconsider their boycott. When representatives of countries
who did attend recognized their mistake as Ahmadinajad began his hate filled ravings and quit the hall, the representatives of Pope Benedictus 16 remained in attendance.

This Pope will be arriving in Israel this coming Monday May 11 2009. He will begin to speak at Yad Vashem, the place sanctified to the memory of six million murdered Jews of the Holocaust at 17:50, as if he has turned a new leaf, and turned away from the historic antisemitism of the Church. We must demonstrate that we are not and will not be fooled by empty gestures of a leader who supports Holocaust Deniers and blatant Antisemites.

At 18:00 exactly this comming Monday May 11 2009, while the Pope is speaking at Yad Vashem, we ask that everyone honk their car horns for 1 full minute, making our protest heard, wherever you are in Israel.

We will not forget.

5) FRIDAY IN SHDEMA
Yesterday Friday tens of us went up to Shdema to listen to Rabbi Sharbaf's shiur on the centrality of the Land of Israel in the life of the Jewish People. Our weekly events in Shdema are very important for safeguarding the place in Jewish hands. Next Friday, May 15th, there will be a lecture in Hebrew by Yehuda Etzion on "Bar Kochva, Rabbi Akiva, Destruction and Redemption".

Please mark your calendar that the week after that, May 22nd, will be Jerusalem Day and in Shdema we will hold a special and festive morning with Naomi Shemer songs sung by Dudu Elharar and a lecture by Israel Prize winner Geula Cohen. A morning in Shdema not to be missed!!

Confronting the Holocaust, Jewish

Rav Kahane: Confronting the Holocaust, Jewish
[Thanks to Ruby in Y"M for making this available.]

CONFRONTING THE HOLOCAUST, JEWISHLY
These excerpts were taken from an article written by Rabbi Meir Kahane, ZTUQ"L, HY"D (may he be remembered for his goodness, may he be a blessing in his holiness, and may his blood be avenged by G-d) published in Kahane magazine, Nov. 1985

What is the fundamental issue of the Holocaust that we avoid speaking about and that, when mentioned, is dismissed with a curt and swift non sequitur?

Why, surely it is the issue that, unless raised and discussed and answered, will guarantee yet another and another national catastrophe. Surely it is an issue that goes to the very nature of the Jewish People, its meaning and role in life, its direction and fate.

What is the fundamental issue that must be met and grappled with?

Why surely the one that asks the question: Where was God? How could He have permitted it?

Our failure to grapple with this issue (instead we corrupt our souls by the terrible reply: It is a question no one can answer) has caused us to be silent accomplices in the worst of all Jewish sins and crimes - Haruf v'giduf, blasphemy against the Lord; open insult and attack on His Name - Hillul Hashem (cursing G-d).

How dare we sit by quietly while Jewish ignoramuses and blasphemers speak of the "death of God", and His Name is dragged through the mud of a theology and philosophy of heresy?

How dare we allow Him to be blasphemed and our children to be turned down the path of apostasy and atheism because our reply to the attacks of the blasphemers is: "No one can answer the question!"

Of course there is an answer! It is a Jewish answer. But, of course, it is the kind of answer that the irreligious Jews, the secularists, the impossible Reformers and Conservatives simply cannot cope with.

It is an answer that can only come from a Jew who believes fully and completely and it is the answer that can only enter the mind and soul of a Jew who believes fully and completely.

And since the non-Orthodox Jew is essentially an atheist (though lacking the courage to admit it), the answer to the Holocaust is simply impossible for him to accept.

And as for the Orthodox Jew, in such great measure, he is responsible for laying the groundwork for the inability of Jews to understand or accept the Jewish answer to the Holocaust. Let me explain and you, dear reader, study the words carefully, They will pain you, but they can also save you.

The reason for the Holocaust, the Jewish reason and answer, is the one that rises out of the fundamental of fundamentals of Torah. What happens to the Jewish People is dependent on their actions and they way they live their lives.

The Jewish People is a Chosen people; chosen for a mission it cannot avoid or escape. At Sinai, the covenant bound us to a life of truth or falsehood, of life or death. "See, I have set before you this day, life and good, and death and evil... And if thy heart turns away and you will not hear... I tell you this day that you will surely perish... I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose life, that both your and your seed may live. [Devarim/Deuteronomy 30:15,17,18,19 selections therein]

The clear, direct mission and warning to the Jewish people. The open message of reward and punishment. If the Jew will obey the Torah in all its ways, he will have life, glorious and majestic. If not, he will have death, terrible and
cursed.

Of course we can answer it; but the irreligious Jew, the one who does not accept the Divinity of Torah, refuses to accept an answer that lays the blame upon him, upon the Jew who - knowing of the warning - ignored it and disdained it.

No, since it is impossible to accept the relationship between Jewish suffering and failure to obey the Law, one must blame God. One must create the image of Jewish people in Europe that was saintly and pious and observant, and thus one must ask how the modern God, a beaming Santa Claus who would never take serious our desecration of mitzvot (commandments), could do such a thing. And, of course, using that as a premise, "there is no God..."

And the Orthodox Jew joins in. He creates a picture of European Jewry that must lead to agonized and perplexed questioning of God. He creates a picture of saintly men that must lead to a vision of a God that is a cruel God who punishes a people who, for the most part, were religious and observant and if so, how could He do such a thing unless He does not exist or "there is no answer..."

The picture that is handed down to the American Orthodox youth, of the yeshivas of an East European Jewry that was pious and traditional and observant is one that must be destroyed because it is false.

It is an image that the yeshiva world gave us in its desire to negate the present material western one. But by their falsely idealizing Man, they have laid the groundwork for the desecration of God.

By painting the East European Jew as a saint, they designed a God of cruelty and irrationality. And that most terrible of sins must be ended: We must save God and sanctify His Name by telling the truth about European Jewry in the years preceding the Holocaust. Then and only then will we be able to tell our children and all Jews the truth of the Holocaust.

The false idealizing of the Jewry of Eastern Europe is worse than foolishness. In the words of Kohelet (Ecclesiastes), "Say not: 'How was it that the former days were better than these?' For it is not out of wisdom that you inquire concerning this." [Kohelet/Ecclesiastes 7:10] Then and only then can we save God from blasphemy and ourselves from future horrors. Then and only then can we honestly and truly say: "All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies." [Tehillim/Psalms 25:10]

Of course we know the real truth of the situation and from that comes the answer, if we wish to be honest. Then and only then can we reply to the wicked and the honestly confused both - honestly. For in the words of Tehillim: "The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him, and His covenant to make them know it" [Tehillim/Psalms 25:14] and Mishlei/Proverbs: "Men of evil will not understand justice but those who seek the Lord will understand everything." [Mishlei/Proverbs 28:5]

Yes, as the nineteenth century passed into its third quarter, the Jew of Russia and Poland was, indeed, observant. But what else could he be?

The overwhelming number of Jews lived in a Pale of Settlement that restricted them to the shtetl, the village, where they were isolated from the gentile world, barred from participating in anything else except the society of the shtetl. And that society was religious in toto.

What Jew, even if he wanted to, was prepared to rebel against the society that laid down the religious rules of life?

Who was prepared to accept the ostracism that would be his inevitable punishment if the dared to throw off the halacha that was more than religion in the shtetl, but the entire social fabric of the life of the Jew?

And so, of course, the Jew was "religious". He had no other choice.

But once that choice arrived, look at what happened! And in such a short span of time! The Enlightenment that began to arrive in Eastern Europe in the last third of the nineteenth century swept away, in a relatively few years, a society and structure that had been built up for centuries. The great Torah centers spawned, overnight, a rebellion and revolution that uncovered the reality of Jewish "religiosity".

The same Vilna that had become a byword for piety and Torah learning, the home of the Gaon, the "Jerusalem of Lithuania," now gave birth to' the Jewish labor movement, the Bund, a bitterly anti-religious and anti-nationalistic group that saw Jews, who just yesterday were "religious", flocking to its ranks to spout atheistic socialism.

The Poland and Russia and Lithuania and Galicia, the areas of the Vaad Arba Ha'aratzot (Council of the "Four Lands" of the 17th Century Kingdom of Poland), the places that had given us the Rama and the Shack and Chassidism and the great yeshivas, overnight gave birth to Jewish communism and socialism and secular Zionism and assimilation. The door was barely opened to enlightenment and emancipation and the Jew rushed to be a Universalist and to throw away Judaism.

This was "religion". This was a "pious, saintly, committed Jewish community" that was cruel and unjustly allowed to be slaughtered by God? Hardly. The Jews who, arriving in America from centuries of "religion" and who threw away their tefillin (phylacteries) and their Shabbat at the first opportunity, symbolized so many other Jews who remained behind. It was not "religion" that had marked them but a social system of ritual that was observed by most only because the outside gentile world refused to allow them entry to it, and there to throw off the yoke of heaven.

The moment the barriers dropped, the Jew rebelled. This was the reality, and the fault dear Jew, lies not in our God but in ourselves.

And there was of course, more. There was the terrible class struggle within East European Jewry.

There was the terrible oppression of Jewish workers and proletariat by the wealthy Jews, the parnessim, the communal leaders.

Not for nothing did the Bund and communism succeed so easily in attracting poor Jewish workers to their ranks.

The low wages and horrible working conditions in the factories owned by Jews are epitomized in the classic story told in the name of the saintly Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev who once visited a matzah bakery on the eve of Passover.

There, he saw the terrible conditions from dawn to dusk. "Dear God", he said, lifting his eyes unto heaven. "What liars are the gentiles! They accuse us of using gentile blood in our matzah. It is not true. We use Jewish blood..."

And too few know of the black chapter of the Haturim, the kidnapped Jewish children of Czarist Russia. When the Czar decreed that Jewish children be drafted as "Cantonists" in the army for 25 years, the rabbis declared that the quota imposed on each community be filled by casting lots to see which child would be drafted.

Tragically, the wealthy communal leaders would hire gentiles to kidnap the poor Jewish children, lock them in the synagogue and keep them to be turned over to be Czarists.

The lack of Ahavat Yisrael, love of Jews, cried out to the Heavens! Was this "religion"? Was this a saintly Jewish community that was cruelly and unjustly slaughtered by God? Hardly. The fault lies not in our God, but in ourselves.

And this lack of unity and love was epitomized, too, in the incredible number of machlokes, of bitter arguments and splits within the Jewish community, a sinat chinam, a needless hatred that split communities and families into warring camps of enemies.

What we have seen in the disgusting attacks of hatred between Sata and Belz or Satmar and Lubavitch is only a small portion of the bitter hatred between misnagdím (religious Jews who disagreed with Hasidism) and Hasidim and between Hasidic groups themselves, in Europe.

The bitter divisions between Jews was told to me as a child by my father, of blessed memory, who described to me the bitter split between the Sanz and Ruzhin, a hatred that reached its climax with Hasidim going to the Western Wall to put the Sanzar Rebbe, the great Divrei Chaim, into her (a term similar to excommunication). And at a Shabbat seudah shlishit (third Sabbath meal, eaten shortly before the prayers ending the Sabbath), a Hassid attempted to stab the Divrei Chaim...

Families were broken up because of disputes. Needless hatred ran through East European Jewry as a thread, and the classic example of the Munkatcher Rebbe declaring, concerning the Pressburger Yeshiva founded by the Chasam Sofer: V'hivdilanu min ha'toim - "and He has separated us from those who err," even as the Pressburger Yeshiva refused entry to any baHru (student) who was a member of the
MizraHi...

And this terrible, terrible hatred was long ago, set up by the Rabbis as an unpardonable sin with a terrible, terribly clear and precise warning:

"How severe is macHloket, division and split! The Court of Heaven does not punish until one is over the age of 20 and the court on earth from the age of 13, but in the dispute of Korach, children of one day were burned and swallowed up by the earth..." (Tanchuma, Korach 3) And the Rabbis in Shabbat (33b): "When there are righteous in the generation, the righteous are caught for the sins of the generation. When there are no righteous, then little children are caught for the sins of the generation (this is the explanation for the million and a half Jewish children murdered by the Nazis in the death camps). Let each of us think long and carefully about this. And let us search our souls.

And let us remember, on top of all the sins and the reality of Jewish crimes, the refusal to grasp the Land of Israel to our bosom. "And they despised the desirable land," is the Biblical condemnation of the generation of the desert and its great scholars and leaders who preferred to return to Egypt rather than go to the Land of Israel.

Their actions led to the night of "weeping for generations," Tisha B'Av. What shall we say about the rejection of Eretz Yisrael in the decades preceding the Holocaust by so many great religious leaders in Europe? That, too, must be added to the reality of East European Jewry.

It is time to put an end to the nonsense of "we cannot know the reasons". That answer guarantees the turning away of Jewish youth.

It is time to bury the myth of East European Jewry that was pious and saintly. That insures the creation of a Jewish God who is senselessly cruel.

It is time to put an end to the indictment of God, to haruf v'giduf, blasphemy against the Lord.

A Jewish People that clings to the Law, truly and completely, will be saved from Holocausts.

And one which rejects it and which turns it into a ritualistic sociological fraud will suffer for it.

And until we learn this, that which was will, God forbid, be again.

But do not blame God. He remains the One whose duty compels us "to declare that the Lord is just, He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him." [Tehillim/Psalms 92:15]

Holocaust Hypocrisy! (article)

Learn the lessons of Hitler's war against the Jews: there's no lasting place for Jews in the Exile (where most remain), that such a self-imposed exile will lead to self-destruction (in one way or another), that you must take your enemies at their word, not your wishful thinking (like the delusional "peace" process), and it's necessary to return to the Torah of God and Homeland of Israel.

Miriam Weiss: Holocaust Survivor and Kibbutz Mother
On that precious list of "Righteous Gentiles" (rare individuals who assisted Jews during the Holocaust) is the great name of Jan Bulski who risked his life and family in Poland to save my "kibbutz mother" -- Miriam Weiss -- who I met and was "adopted" by at Kibbutz Ramat Yohanan near Haifa in Northern Israel while a volunteer there from October 1982 to February 1983.

Rabbi in the dark about Herbert Armstrong

Christian radical theology?

Deceptive Ad

You recently ran an ad for a book, Beyond Babylon, by "David Ben-Ariel."
This is a Christian radical theology fronting for offshoots of the Worldwide Church of G-d, Herbert W. Armstrong, representing the British Israel branch which has crossovers with other antisemitic groups.
I thought you would want to know.

SLR Responds: You are 100 percent correct we would want to know, and we are very grateful to you for pointing out our potentially severe error. We have no idea if this group is antisemitic (nothing we found out about them would indicate that), but they are definitely a Christian evangelical group, and their ad in our paper indicates that they were being deceptive. You can trust their ad will not appear again.

This exchange appeared in The Jewish Voice and Opinion magazine, May 2009, in reference to two full page ads that I, David Ben-Ariel, bought and paid for in full (January and April issues) - not any group or organization!

I sincerely hope that "Yitzchok Dovid Smith" knows more about Judaism than he does about Herbert W. Armstrong and the offshoots of the Worldwide Church of God, as those who are knowledgeable about Mr. Armstrong and those associated with him, having read or are familiar with his former magazine The Plain Truth, know that we are not antisemitic in any manner, shape or form and to attempt to discredit us by a faulty connection to some who are is as deceptive as linking all Jews with Bolshevism or other godless movements!

Mr. Armstrong was well known in Israel among the leadership for years, even honored in Jerusalem many times, and met every prime minister from Golda Meir on until his death in 1986. Ambassador College (Pasadena, California) worked with Hebrew University on many archaeological digs and Liberty Bell Park in Jerusalem honors Herbert W. Armstrong to this day with a monument.

Furthermore, I am not a member of any "Christian evangelical group" and neither Herbert W. Armstrong or offshoots of the Sabbath-keeping Worldwide Church of God have anything to do with traditional Christianity, which we consider baptized paganism: the Babylonian Mystery religion in Christian drag!

My two full page ads (they were my ads, representing my politico-religious concerns for Israel in light of the pope's campaign to undermine Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem, Europe's new crusade) in The Jewish Voice and Opinion were not deceptive in the least, as I have always focused on where I agree with Jews, as Torah-observant Jews can testify who have known me for years, like Gershon Salomon, chairman of the Temple Mount Faithful, and Ze'ev Bar-Tov; Aryeh Gallin, President of Root and Branch Association; Attorney Howard Grief; rabbis Yehoshua Friedman and Avraham Feld; Yair Davidiy of Brit Am Yisrael; Barry Chamish; and others like Shifra Hoffman, Daisy Stern, Tamar Yonah, etc.

Last but not least, my legal name is David Ben-Ariel. Again, nothing deceptive. Just the plain truth!

For Zion's sake,
David Ben-Ariel

Jews warned about pope

Shame on ghetto rabbi and Nazi pope!

Rabbi Lau: No Need to Flatter the Pope -- or to Rebuff Him
(IsraelNN.com) Israel’s former Chief Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau explains Pope Benedict XVI’s two “mistakes” and how he differs from the last pope – but says we shouldn’t rebuff his visit to Israel...

...Rabbi Lau says, “We must not rebuff the visit. We need not bend over backwards or flatter him, but it should not be rejected. This is a visit initiated by the pope himself so that he can follow in the footsteps of his predecessors. We must welcome him, if only for the fact that millions of Jews still live in the Diaspora, and many of them in places where the Catholic Church is strong, such as Latin America, Poland, Ukraine and elsewhere. We must not give our enemies ammunition or pour fuel on the fire; we must not endanger even one Jew.”

************

Shame on the ghetto rabbi for fearing to oppose the Nazi pope's political campaign to the Holy Land of Israel out of concern for Jews who choose to remain in a self-imposed exile, who fail to follow Judaism to the Jewish Homeland of Israel!

Shame on the political and religious leaders of Israel who sin against God, Israel and Torah by looking the other way, turning a blind eye, to the Temple treasures and Judaica Rome holds hostage while the Babylonian envoy spies out Jerusalem!

By failing to stand up to pharaoh with demands to release the Temple treasures and Judaica, and by failing to "slay" Balaam, Israeli leaders endanger every Jew worldwide as the German-Jesuit jackboot will stomp Jerusalem and treacherous "peacekeeping" troops will pollute the Holy Land of Israel.

Israel must reject Vatican overtures for peace or lose Jerusalem!
The bloody vulture Shimon Peres (Peres is Hebrew for vulture) is right where the Vatican-controlled Israeli oligarchy wants him to be: positioned as president of Israel, dark prince of perfidy, as orchestrated. Woe to Ariel! Jerusalem will soon suffer EU occupation: THE GERMANS ARE COMING!
