"And let them make me a Sanctuary that I may dwell among them" (Ex. 25:8). This holy command in the Scriptures seems clear enough, so what's the problem? Why has Israel tolerated Jerusalem’s "abomination of desolation" — a Temple Mount without a Temple? Why haven't the religious leaders encouraged the people to do what they can in fulfilling this mitzva?

Something's missing. Rome is synonymous with the Vatican, Mecca with the Kaaba, and Jerusalem's known for its Western Wall. But why should we stand before the wall, letting it obstruct our vision, when we could be praying in a Temple? Why should Jews continue to bow before an illegitimate Gentile decree that tells them where to pray? (Isaiah 10:1).

Jew Arrested on Temple Mount for Daring to Seem to be Praying

A Jewish man in his 30s, who took advantage of the holiday of Sukkot in order to visit the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, was arrested on Sunday morning simply because an Arab security guard suspected that he was praying during the tour of the complex.

David Ha'ivri, Executive Director of the Shomron Liaison Office, who was on the scene of the incident, told Arutz 7 what had taken place:

“At 7:30 this morning I had the privilege of going up to Temple Mount with 20 other Jews,” said Ha’Ivri and added that Israeli police officers as well as inspectors from the Waqf accompanied the Jews who took part in the tour of the area. Among their responsibilities, explained Ha’Ivri, is to ensure that no Jew violates the instructions he receives upon entering the complex, which include a prohibition to pray at Judaism's holiest site.

“After the checkpoint at the Mugrabi Gate, a police officer gives a list of guidelines in a cold and dry voice,” described Ha’Ivri. “Do not pray. Do not tear a garment. Do not prostrate yourself. It is forbidden to take any action that the Muslims may see as a religious act.

           To further simplify matters, we will not interrupt the lesson with references. They appear after the article text.
           We begin with the run-up to a conference in Washington to make peace in the Middle East. This was no smalltime conference. The participants were the leaders of Israel, Egypt, Jordan and a fellow who claims to represent the Palestinians.
           On August 30, Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak met Jordanian King Abdullah. The aftermath came quickly. The very next day, there was a slaughter of Israelis outside Hebron. This occurred the night before PM Netanyahu flew to Washington, a high alert day for the Israeli army. Yet no patrols were on the road to stop the massacre; and the usual government-run uglies, Ben Gvir and Marzel were first on the scene demanding that every Israeli, including women and children, be armed. Any public sympathy for the deceased disappeared after that. What remained was a warning to Israel: Here's your fate if you don't sign on for "peace." Thanks Ehud.
           And on the same day, Barak announced to Ha'aretz that he, a government minister, was in favor of dividing Jerusalem and that PM Netanyahu was the man to do it. The message: the deed has been agreed to by the government.
           Also, on the same day, Pres. Mubarak and French Pres. Sarkozy met to discuss the European goals of the "peace" talks. France and Egypt are the co-chairs of the Mediterranean Union, a Vatican invention supposedly started by King Juan Carlos of Spain. The MU has promised to bring peace to the Middle East their way at its Barcelona Conference on November 20 and they had Mubarak in Washington to make sure of it.
           But they also had their spy Pres. Shimon Peres there as well by Skype. He told the reporters that he was going to meet the pope to arrange the release of Hamas-held, or
Hamas--dead soldier Gilad Shalit. Like the pope could care less, but the dumbed Israelis bought the lie.
          At the conference, and without asking the Jewish sacrificial lambs, Netanyahu offered the PLO the opportunity to inherit all the settlers, who, naturally would be given Palestinian citizenship. An even better idea was offered by NSA director James Jones (CFR), and one Abbas loved. He would arrange permanent NATO troops stationed along the new borders. Overseeing the transition would be old CFR hack George Mitchell who already booked his ticket for Jerusalem.
          And so the conference ended with the prospect of a new Middle East with a divided Jerusalem, Palestinian-Jewish settlers and NATO troops all aboard for the Nov.20 conference in Barcelona.

         On Sept. 11, I was planning to go to Gainesville, an hour away, to see some Korans burned. It promised to be an international media carnival. But the CFR ruined it for me.
Somehow koran-burning pastor Terry Jones believed he was going to a cut deal with the imam of the ground zero mosque to move it if he cancelled the book burning. Then, from the CFR's tv conference room came two interviews in a few days; the first from Secretary of State Clinton (husband CFR) condemning Jones, then, lo and behold, from Imam Feisel Rauf who thought the koran burning was a really bad idea. The CFR is so convinced it has pulled the wool over everyone's eyes that they openly revealed that they controlled Rauf and arranged payment to make him a world figure. The CFR ran the whole ground zero mosque controversy, while the public thought everything about it was random. In the end, Defense Secretary Robert Gates (CFR) threatened Jones scarily enough that he hauled ass out of Gainesville and will never be heard of again.

My name is Rachel Saperstein. I am almost seventy years old. My husband and I have three children and twelve grandchildren. We lived in Jerusalem for close to thirty years, in Gush Katif for nearly nine years, and now we live in a plasterboard caravilla in the refugee camp of Nitzan between Ashdod and Ashkelon. During the Cast Lead war we were bombed by missiles coming in from Gaza. The missiles and rockets followed us from Gush Katif to Nitzan. There is no escape from enemy assault.

In the evening I take power walks. I also observe life in our refugee camp slum. Most of the gardens are overgrown with weeds. People are slowly moving away. It doesn't make sense to keep a garden growing. After people leave for their permanent homes up the hill, flat-bed trucks arrive. First, the red tiles on the roofs are removed. The caravilla is then cut in half, loaded on the trucks and taken somewhere. We don't know where. Perhaps to a new site being prepared for the next victims of expulsion. We do not know what plans Obama and Netanyahu have for the people of Judea and Samaria. What is certain is that these plasterboard structures will be used again.

I visit the construction site of the new "permanent" homes, especially when we go to the attaching-the-Mezuzah ceremony. We wish the new occupants well. We "ooh" and "aah" at the up-to-date shower stalls, the new kitchen, the lovely floor tiles. The occupants invariably admit they have used all their funds on the house. Some have taken bank loans to finish the house. Many of our friends are in their late fifties and sixties. They worry about how they will ever pay off the
loans, much less how they will live from week to week on their meager salaries, if they are lucky enough to be working. There is a tragedy waiting to happen.

Some cannot build at all. They have been living on their compensation money as they have had no livelihood since the expulsion. Some of our people were renters in the private market in Neve Dekalim, and though they lived there for fifteen or twenty years are not entitled to any compensation at all. Some have lost their money to swindlers, some have lost their money in bad investments. Others see building here as the final nail in the coffin of hope - the hope that they will return to Gush Katif.

In one community families had built and moved into permanent homes. They breathed a sigh of relief. At long last each family had a proper home. But something strange happened. Their children, who as pre-teens had lived through the expulsion, went berserk. They began drinking, smoking, vandalizing public property. The professionals who were called in declared the children victims of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The children felt betrayed by their parents. By building elsewhere their parents had admitted they would never return to Gush
Katif. This betrayal had brought on a violent reaction.

On one of my power walks I met my friend Dina. I told her I would be speaking here tonight. "What shall I tell them, Dina?"

Dina is a mother of five. Two of her sons are married. She now has grandchildren.

"I should be happy" Dina tells me, "but I'm not. Every night I see soldiers surrounding my home. I wake up shaking and sweating. Then I start to cry. I can't go back to work. I miss my home, the view of the sea, the Beit Knesset. Tell those good people that my heart is broken." I hug Dina as I've hugged so many others. I cry with them. I admit that I, too, suffer from flashbacks. We move forward but the past returns at odd moments. There is so much hurt.

The poverty of our people, out of work, lining up for food parcels, is growing. The charge accounts at the mini-market have grown to proportions unheard of in the past. Parents send their children to purchase the necessities because they are too ashamed to be seen in person.

As the director of Operation Dignity, a chessed Non-Profit Organization, I raise and give financial assistance to some wonderful families - always with a smile and certainly with dignity.

Health issues have increased. Heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, hypertension have taken their toll of our people. But not all is black. Children have been born, marriages have taken place. Over five hundred brides and grooms have been showered by the wonderful volunteer bridal group, bringing essential gifts to start our young couples off even as they move into crumbling caravans near their
parents homes. Watching our young couples walking with their baby carriages brings us hope and joy.

These young couples fought for Gush Katif, and using the return of our people to Gush Etzion as their inspiration, know that when the call to re-establish Gush Katif is made they will be the first to answer that call. The Almighty always performs miracles.

And for us, my husband and myself, we are going to Lachish. South of Beit Shemesh, north of Kiryat Gat, Lachish is a wonderful place to establish the township of Bnai Dekalim.

Lachish is a grape-growing region often compared to the Napa Valley in California, or Province in France. Gentle hills, wild flowers and refreshing breezes make the Lachish area an ideal place to build our new home. This will be a truly Jewish town. Our field school will teach the halacha of grape growing and wine making. Our spa will teach healing of body and soul according to Rambam and other Jewish sources.

Visiting rabbis will bring their families and enjoy the state-of-the-art Judaica library in the Yeshiva and Kollel.

Come and visit. Walk in the footsteps of Joshua and Bar Kochba. Whenever we visit, and now that we actually own our own plot, I feel like dancing. Yes, almost seventy and I feel like dancing! I feel a lightness in my heart and begin to sway with the rhythm of the winds.

Soon I will have a home. What a privilege to be almost seventy and to be a pioneer in Eretz Yisrael.

But if the Almighty wills it, with joyful heart and soul we will return to Gush Katif.

The book of Numbers chronicles the many tumultuous events that occurred during Israel's forty year sojourn in the wilderness. It is worthwhile to note that each event was preceded or precipitated by the words uttered by one protagonist or another. Korach very skillfully chose his words with the intention of manipulating his fellow Israelites for the cynical purpose of self aggrandizement. By using his G-d given power of speech to try to lift himself up above others, he was justly rewarded with a deathless entombment deep within the bowels of the earth.

Bilaam, the heathen prophet, attempted with a persistence that otherwise might be deemed admirable, to use his power of speech in a grandiose ploy to manipulate G-d's wrath against the children of Israel. For his pernicious efforts, he was killed in the very war which he himself masterminded.

The tribal heads of Israel allowed themselves and their brethren to be tripped up by their own words, as they spoke evil against the land of Israel. Their careless words testified to their lack of faith in G-d, lack of love for the land of Israel, and lack of trust in themselves. Their reward? They, and the entire generation that they ensnared were to die in the desert, never setting foot in the land that G-d had promised them.

Even Miriam, the prophetess, spoke ill of her brother Moshe, and was duly punished with a case of the leprous tzarat. Despite the fact that Miriam's intentions were only for the betterment of Moshe, she too had to pay the price for her ill chosen words.

And, of course, Moshe himself was punished most poignantly for his own misappropriation of the gift of speech. First he hit the rock, when he was commanded by G-d to speak to the rock, and then he spoke harshly against Israel, calling his thirsty kinsmen "rebels."(ibid 20:10) Moshe, too, would never enter his beloved Israel.

It is only fitting that the final double Torah reading of the book of Numbers, Matot-Masei opens with the laws concerning any man or woman who utters a vow, or takes an oath. Our words cause and shape our actions and define who we truly are. Words spoken carelessly will in time catch up with us. We reap what we say. And we are in constant peril of being led astray by the words of others when we allow ourselves to fall under their influence.

Torah takes our words very seriously, and, this is to say, takes us very seriously. We are what we speak. The midnight exodus from Egypt, the splitting of the Sea of Reeds, receiving Torah at Sinai, the building of the Tabernacle, and forty years in the wilderness later, and Torah's message to us all, as we are perched upon the banks of the Jordan, moments from entering the land, is crystal clear: Measure your words. Your word is your bond. Your word is sacred.

Entering the land of Israel marks the fulfillment of G-d's word, His promise to Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov. Now is the time for us to keep our word: To settle that same land, to love and to nurture it. To do all this, and to build the Holy Temple is not merely to fulfill G-d's aspirations for each of us. It is to keep our word with G-d, to state unequivocally that we are worthy of the gift of speech with which he bequeathed us, worthy of His love, worthy of being called G-d's children.

The eternal boundaries of the Land of Israel are also featured in this week’s Torah reading, another subject that’s bound to come up on the agenda of our leaders. But who sets those boundaries… the G-d of Israel, or other elements?

The three week mourning period for the Holy Temple is once again upon us. How do we free ourselves from the seemingly endless cycle, year after year, of mourning for the Holy Temple? Does anyone actually think the situation could change?

Have you heard?

Recently I told someone that my doctor said I was definitely in "decline" (I have AIDS).

He said, "Can I preach the gospel to your unconverted family and friends at your funeral?" I said, "No" (for many reasons). I also said I wasn't going to have any funeral and plan on being cremated. I commented my family and friends already heard the gospel. I said, "Everybody in America has heard the gospel," and he said he wasn't so sure about that. His doubts notwithstanding, anybody who knows me knows how outspoken I am about my beliefs and how I've written extensively about them in many articles and within my book, Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall.

Have you fallen for SUNday?

I love Jerusalem, Jews and Israel!

I wasn't only deported once from the Jewish homeland, but was told by Israeli lawyer Naftali Warzberger that since my passport didn't have deported stamped in it I could return and when I tried they detained me at the airport and sent me back!

It's sad how dishonest many are in government (Israeli or American) and refuse to right wrongs when it's in their power to do so. I recognize once wrong precedence has been set, it's easier to just go with it and sacrifice innocent folks like me.

I was unjustly deported in 1996 from Israel and attempted to return on the eve of the elections that same year (Shimon Peres v Netanyahu). They questioned me in the airport (and I was tired after that 12 hour flight - I had taken a 5 hour bus ride from Toledo to Chicago and then flew to Canada to save money) and then kept me in the cell at the airport. The guard let me give us my Maxwell house individual bags... On the flight back I saw the same undercover Israeli agent on the flight there who disagreed with me about Meir Kahane. I think most folks would hate Israel but I know it's just individual idiots and as a staunch Christian-Zionist I have a God-given love for Jerusalem, Jews and Israel, especially having lived there so many times on so many kibbutzim (eight to be exact!). I just want the option of being able to return without hassle, if and when I chose to, b'ezrat HaShem.

Hermon, where I was living when "Operation Desert Storm" blew in; and Ha'On, with its campground and ostrich farm on the eastern shores of the Sea of Galilee, across from Tiberias; and last but not least, my beloved Jerusalem, next to my favorite spot on earth: the Temple Mount.

         It is rare when one city usurps all others as the capital of world conspiracy. To achieve such greatness we might have to go all the way back to 1785, when 3 giants met in Frankfurt, Germany. There, the head of the anti-Jewish Sabbataians, Jacob Frank, brought his circle of Frankists to town where he formed a conspiracy with the illuminati, led by one Adam Weishaupt. While Frank's goal was to punish all Jews who did not accept Shabtai Tzvi and him as the Jewish messiahs, Weishaupt's organization was founded to punish those Christians who rejected Rome as the capital of world Christianity. Spain aims to revive the Middle East peace process, working with France and Egypt in the run-up to a Mediterranean summit in Barcelona in June, the Spanish foreign minister said Saturday.
"We are talking to France and Egypt (...) to restart the peace process in the Middle East", Miguel Angel Moratinos said during a forum on the Mediterranean in Paris.
Forty-three heads of state and government will gather on June 7 for the second summit of the Union for the Mediterranean, which was formed two years ago in Paris by Egypt and France.
Israeli, Palestinian and Syrian leaders Benjamin Netanyahu, Mahmoud Abbas and Bashar al-Assad respectively are among those expected to attend, Moratinos said.

"We are working with France and Egypt for something important in Barcelona", Moratinos said.

Today, Monday, folks will be visiting cemeteries. A painful and sombre day. Tonight at sundown, Yom HaZikaron will end and the celebration of Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Israel's Independence Day begins.

I wanted to do a cartoon to show how short a time 62 years really is. I wondered if I'd be able to write out every year in a cartoon. It turned out that I could do it as a border and still have room for Mr. Shuldig and his dog Doobie!

Apart from 5 months at Ramat Yohanan (where I met my "kibbutz mother," Miriam Weiss) I've also stayed at Sdot Yam on the Mediterranean, next to Caesarea, the site of my first ulpan (intensive Hebrew course), and where Israel's heroine, Hannah Senesh, was from; Regavim, near Zichron Yaakov, where I continued my Hebrew lessons amid its rolling green hills; Reshafim, near Bet She'an, with Mt. Gilboa practically in our backyard, and Jordan's mountains in lovely view out front; Adamit, on Lebanon's border, high up on a mountain, from where on clear days you can see all the way to Haifa's Mt. Carmel; Shoval, a rose in the Negev desert, just north of Be'er Sheva; Dan, way up in the northernmost part of Israel, in between Syria and Lebanon, next to the majestic snow-covered Mt. Hermon, where I was living when "Operation Desert Storm" blew in; and Ha'On, with its campground and ostrich farm on the eastern shores of the Sea of Galilee, across from Tiberias; and last but not least, my beloved Jerusalem, next to my favorite spot on earth: the Temple Mount.

I looked you up on google, and I'm hoping there is a site, that has a email address so I could write to you. If there is an address, I hope I can find it. I don't understand all of your stances, but I'd like to learn. All I know is I love Israel, and am forever grateful for the Israelites writing the Bible. Without them, we would not have the OT, NT. Some people forget, that many Jews believed on Jesus when Jesus was on the earth, and also after when He went back to the Father. The Jews are the chosen, and I know salvation is open to all, and the time of the gentiles will end soon. I would like to live in Israel someday. The Denial of Jerusalem’s Historic Past Damages Prospects for Peace

In The Wall Street Journal (Sept. 25, 2009) Bari Weiss reported, “For the record: Jerusalem is the holiest city in Judaism, mentioned more than 600 times in the Hebrew Bible. Three times a day, religious Jews face eastward toward the city when they pray. At Jewish weddings, the couple’s joy is diminished as they shatter a glass to acknowledge Jerusalem’s still unfulfilled redemption. It is a widespread custom then to recite the 137th psalm (‘If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither, let my tongue cleave to my palate..’).”

Weiss goes on to state, “According to Jewish tradition, Jerusalem’s designation as Judaism’s most sacred city made it the obvious place for King Solomon to build the Holy Temple following the death of his father, King David. After the temple’s destruction by the Babylonians, it was rebuilt by King Herod before being destroyed by the Romans in A.D. 70.”

This is an expression of the traditional view held by millions around the world. But senior Palestinian political and intellectual leaders have gone on record with an alternative perspective.

Here are but a few of the many documented statements by important figures denying the Jewish people’s historic ties to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem:

The Jerusalem Post reported on August 27, 2009, “The Palestinian Authority’s chief Islamic judge, Sheikh Tayseer Rajab Tamimi, said that there was no evidence to back up claims that Jews had ever lived in Jerusalem or that the Temple ever existed. Tamimi claimed that Israeli archeologists had ‘admitted’ that Jerusalem was never inhabited by Jews.”

The November 22, 1997 edition of the Palestinian newspaper, Al-Ayyam published a statement from the chief Muslim cleric of the Palestinian Authority, Mufti Ikrama Sabri, “The claim of the Jews to the right over [Jerusalem] is false, and we recognize nothing but an entirely Islamic Jerusalem under Islamic supervision...”

Shamekh Alawneh, a lecturer in modern history at Al Quds University, said on August 11, 2009 that “the Jews invented their connection to Jerusalem. It has no historical roots.” According to Alawneh, “the Jews are engaging in an attack on history, theft of culture, falsification of facts, erasure of the truth, and Judaization of the place.”

In an article for The Washington Post (July 30, 2000) Lee Hockstader wrote, “Saeb Erekat, Arafat’s chief negotiator at Camp David in 2000, took issue with Ben-Ami’s contention that Solomon’s Temple, the Jewish sacred site built 3,000 years ago, had really once stood on the Temple Mount. As the two negotiators debated, Clinton looked on amazed. Erekat then said to President Clinton: ‘I don’t believe there was a temple on top of the Haram [holy site], I really don’t.’ Clinton later said Arafat’s intransigence on Jerusalem was largely to blame.”

Islamic Movement chief Raed Salah declared in November 2006, “We remind, for the 1,000th time, that the entire Al-Aqsa mosque [on the Temple Mount], including all of its area and alleys above the ground and under it, is exclusive and absolute Moslem property, and no one else has any rights to even one grain of earth in it.”

In the midst of such quotes there stands an authentic piece of Muslim history that counters these and other similar declarations.

Authentic 1924 Temple Mount Guide Tells the Truth

The Supreme Muslim Council’s own words dating back to their 1924 Guide to the Temple Mount confirm the truth of the Jewish people’s unique relationship to these hallowed grounds dating back some three thousand years.

Irrefutable documentation of this fact comes from the well-researched, sixteen-page A Brief Guide to al-Haram al-Sharif, published by the Supreme Muslim Council. This Guide officially recognizes Jewish connection to the Temple Mount.

A 1924 first edition copy of al- Haram al-Sharif was recently obtained by The Simon Wiesenthal Center. On the fourth page the Historical Sketch of the Haram declares: “The site is one of the oldest in the world. Its sanctity dates from the earliest times. Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute. This, too, is the spot, according to universal belief, on which David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings” (2 Samuel 24:25).

Judaism’s unequivocal connection to the Temple Mount comes up again on the last page of the booklet (page sixteen), which discusses the “substructures” of the Dome of the Rock. Describing the area of Solomon’s Stables, which Islamic Waqf officials converted into a new mosque in 1996, the guide states: “...It dates probably as far back as the construction of Solomon’s Temple. According to Josephus, it was in existence and was used as a place of refuge by the Jews at the time of the conquest of Jerusalem by Titus in the year 70 A.D.”

The guide also refers on page sixteen to Christianity’s link to a small chamber in the vast subterranean structure, “which was believed in medieval times to have been associated with Jesus Christ’s infancy. This belief was prevalent long before the advent of the Crusaders…”

All editions of the Temple Mount Guide from 1924-1953 were published with the same wording by the Supreme Muslim Council. It is often said that diplomats sign treaties but only people can make peace. The Simon Wiesenthal Center shares this information with you in the hopes that it will inspire people of good will of all faiths to work together for a true and lasting peace that will emanate from Jerusalem – based on truth, tolerance and mutual respect.

The Israeli police knew they didn't have a shred of evidence against me other than some hateful letter filled with false accusations that misled them.
I received a call (at the Palm Youth Hostel in Jerusalem where I lived and legally worked) from a friend in the United States that "KP" sent him a copy of a letter he reportedly also sent to the Israeli authorities, claiming I was involved in some plot to blow up the mosques to stop the peace process and prepare the way for the Temple; was involved in arms smuggling (distorting my travels through the war-zone of Yugoslavia by train from Germany and visit to South Africa and Zimbabwe, as well as other adventures - thanks to a gracious inheritance from my Hoover grandparents) and that I wasn't Jewish. Precious voices of dissent condemn such interference, as Stephen Booth of Open Europe decries: "There is absolutely no need for the EU to be deciding what days people can work." Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Certainly Emperor Constantine would be impressed with how the Roman wolves cloak themselves in sheep's clothing!

Police to Temple Mount Activist: Psychiatrist Must OK Your Entry

(IsraelNN.com) Yehuda Glick, who has been waging for years a personal and public struggle to guarantee Jewish access to the site of the Holy Temple, has been informed that he must undergo psychiatric treatment before being allowed to enter the site.

Glick, chairman of the Organization for Human Rights on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, has sued the police in the past for their refusal to allow him to ascend to the Temple Mount. The Supreme Court ruled that the police must meet with him and formulate arrangements under which he would be permitted to do so.

However, on Sunday morning, on the eve of the final day of the Passover holiday, Glick arrived at the Mughrabi entrance to the Mount – and was informed by police there that he may not enter. They explained to him that this was the decision of the local police commander. Glick went to the office of the commander, Ofer Shumer, who told him that he had reached the conclusion that “you are not a normal person” and that he could therefore not allow him to enter the Temple Mount until after he undergoes psychiatric treatment.

Asked how long this new decision was to be in force, Shumer said, “This is my decision, period.” Shumer turned down Glick’s repeated requests to have the decision put in writing.

Glick later expressed sorrow that the police had “descended to such a level,” adding that “instead of enabling Jews to exercise their legal rights to enter the Temple Mount, and instead of investing their resources to fight against Muslim violence there, the police choose to take the easy route by fighting against those who observe the law and engage in petty vengeance against those who fight for Jewish rights to visit the holy site.”

What part of TEMPLE Mount doesn't Shumer understand? He obviously struggles with serious issues and insults every Jew and the memory of every Jew who prayed to return to Zion and who pray for the Temple daily. Sounds like Shumer belongs back in Bolshevik Russia where they persecuted folks of faith. Such an insensitive person has no business occupying the position of police commander and should be given no quarter to defile Jerusalem with his disturbing anti-Semitism.

I'm reminded of the book - Hannah Senesh: Her Life and Diary, that included this interesting observation: "When anyone in Hungary spoke of Zionism five or even two years ago, Jewish public opinion condemned him as a traitor of Hungary, laughed at him, considered him a mad visionary, and under no circumstances heard him out."

Most folks imagine those who need to repent are the immoral, the adulterers, the liars, the promiscuous, those who engage in the practice of homosexuality, who have abortions, who abandon their children, who rape and steal and murder. And such sinners are in serious need of a change of heart and actions, so help them God. However, notice God's condemnation of our Israelite forefathers concerned their "evil ways," the "evil" they weren't ashamed to commit in front of God that led to their eviction notices: pagan religious practices and "harmless" traditional heathen customs!

Ancient Israel, like apostate Christianity today, thought it was perfectly acceptable to mix and match pagan error with biblical truth, even though God's Word clearly forbids it! “You shall not do this thing.” They were told, time and again, God rejected their traditional religious beliefs, their evil ways, but they wouldn't listen to His warnings to return to His ways, His holy commandments, and reject their popular pagan practices and whitewashed heathen ways (Deuteronomy 12: 30-32; Jeremiah 10:2) .

Ancient Israel, like apostate Christianity today, claimed their worship, their offerings, their sacrifices, were to the God of the Bible but He rejects such unclean, impure, adulterated worship and exposes it as demonic! (Deuteronomy 32:16-18; Psalm 106:36-38; Amos 5:25-27).

Jerusalem posters call for 3rd Temple

While tensions continue to simmer around the Temple Mount after riots in and around the capital’s Old City earlier this month, a new campaign calling for the construction of the Third Temple atop the holy site has made its way to the sides of 200 Egged buses in the city, which now sport posters featuring a picture of a rebuilt temple on the Mount, and nothing else.

The posters, which contain the phrase, “May the Bais Hamikdosh [holy temple] be rebuilt speedily and within our days,” were sponsored by the Our Land of Israel group, which is led by Rabbi Shalom Dov Volpo and activist Baruch Marzel, leave out the site’s current structures – namely the the Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

The campaign’s organizers chose to plaster the posters on buses whose routes take them through predominately Arab neighborhoods of east Jerusalem.

With regards to the campaign, Volpo said Israel is waiting breathlessly for the coming of the messiah and the rebuilding of the temple.

“The Arabs and President Obama know that the Temple will be built on the Temple Mount,” he said. “Instead of the temporary buildings that are there today.”

Speaking to The Jerusalem Post on Sunday, Marzel said it was no mistake that the Islamic shrines were left out of the picture...

Does your Church honor the goddess Easter?

"Why do you perpetuate pagan fertility symbols of rabbits and eggs and don't have anything for Passover? No little lambs, nothing. John the Baptist called Jesus the 'Lamb of God' - not the Easter bunny!" - so I wrote a popular family restaurant about their country store (see The Big Lie of Easter). I could have just as easily written another popular down on the farm restaurant questioning why they're disrespectfully offering Easter ham when the Bible strongly expresses its distaste for such an abomination that Jesus and the apostles never ate and the Scriptures forbid (see Is All Animal Flesh Good Food?).

If you walk into any store or restaurant at this time of year, you quickly see how the pagan Easter rabbit has supplanted the Passover lamb. A myth has replaced the truth! It's totally absurd and illogical as both the Bible and history condemn Easter as a spring goddess and yet these professing Christian churches aren't ashamed to blazon the name of the GODDESS EASTER on their church billboards! Would they also advertise Venus or Ishtar? Are they all asleep in the pews? Don't their ministers have a clue? God says the names of these pagan gods and goddesses will be history and yet they're kept alive by apostate Christian ministers! "For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals [false gods], And they shall be remembered by their name no more" (Hosea 2:17). Who are they serving? Certainly not our Great Creator God, the God of the Bible, the God of Jacob.

How can any professing Christian not take offense at this baptized paganism, these whitewashed heathen customs that mislead the masses? Shame on those (especially the worthless ministers) who continue to let folks get carried away with idolatrous traditions rather than set them free with the plain truth!

"How can you say, ‘I am not polluted, I have not gone after the Baals'?" (Jeremiah 2:23). You advertise the GODDESS EASTER with your Easter Egg Hunt, your Easter Egg Roll, your Easter ham, your Easter Sunday. Others pimp Easter and her fertility symbols of rabbits and eggs with Easter Egg trees and Easter decorations. We're a nation of spiritual drunks and whores in denial, whoring around with pagan gods and goddesses, going through the mindless motions of pagan traditions and flirting with heathen customs and we see nothing wrong with it since we're deaf, dumb and blind (Isaiah 42:19).

Such Easter "offerings" based upon colorful fables certainly aren't acceptable or cute to God ( 2 Timothy 4:3-5). “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall [the slain] at the time I punish them..." (Jeremiah 6:15). Traditional Christianity, like an adulterous woman, "…eats and wipes her mouth, and says, ‘I have done no wickedness...'" (Prov. 30:20).

Sin that's been dressed up, camouflaged, made to appear harmless, is still sin in God's eyes and He hates the mass religious deception that has been going on for too long and will hold the nation accountable for living a lie and promoting whitewashed paganism. The rotten ministers who have failed to stand in the gap, to expose such error and call upon the people to turn from such vain traditions, are especially guilty (Ezekiel 22:30-31).

Hosea 4:6
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest [minister] for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God [that you may keep your own traditions], I also will forget your children.

It's past time we remember our Hebrew roots and biblical responsibilities and return to the Faith once delivered - the Faith that focuses on the Lamb of God and keeps Passover - and stop mixing pagan error with biblical truth (spiritual adultery). We must serve the God of Israel wholeheartedly as Elijah encouraged (when he mocked Baal and Easter) or go into national captivity like Israel did who failed to take God's Word seriously! This need for haste was eternalized by the Torah commandment for all generations for each family of Israel to prepare a lamb for a korban Pesach - Passover offering - make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, slaughter the lamb within the Holy Temple courtyard, roast the lamb in Jerusalem, and eat the lamb in its entirety before midnight. This process of haste could, in many cases, extend over two weeks time, beginning with the pilgrimage preparations, and concluding, in an ever greater sense of haste, with the eating of the lamb. Since the destruction of the Holy Temple, from which point in time the korban Pesach has not been offered, this sense of urgency has been embodied by the intense Passover preparations made in each individual home, often exhausting, often conducted right to the last minute, and concluding with the Passover Seder, again, which must be concluded by midnight.

Why did G-d insist that the children of Israel eat the Passover offering in haste? After all, G-d planned and carried out every detail of the exodus from Egypt, beginning with His first call to Moshe, continuing throughout the ten plagues, and concluding with the korban Pesach and the midnight escape. Nothing was left to chance. Why the last-minute rush?

PM sparks Germany's anger in latest East Jerusalem construction spat

During the crisis between Israel and the U.S. administration last week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu managed to anger German Chancellor Angela Merkel, too, after his office gave the media details of a phone conversation between the two leaders on construction in East Jerusalem. Merkel said that Netanyahu had "used" her and undermined her trust in him.

Merkel and Netanyahu spoke last Saturday, several hours after the phone call in which U.S. Secretary State Hillary Clinton reprimanded the prime minister. A senior German source who requested anonymity said Merkel had called Netanyahu after a request from the White House. The Americans requested her involvement to stress that it was not only the United States that disagreed with the construction in East Jerusalem's Ramat Shlomo neighborhood.

Summary of Gush Etzion "Crush the Obama intifada rally" last night, Saturday evening

Close to 200 people came to the Gush Etzion intersection and thus answered the call by the action committees to come and protest the latest wave of Arab violence. "Crush the Obama intifada! Enough stone
throwing! Stop the building freeze against the Jews" were some of the slogans

Among the public figures who arrived and spoke were: Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Gideon Perl, Rabbi Zvi Rimon, Rabbi Yaron Durani, Rabbi Avi Weiss from the USA , Dr Amiel Ungar, Attn Elyakim Haetzni, Oded Revivi, mayor of Efrat, Malachi Levinger, mayor of Kiryat Arba.

In addition, the female resident of Tekoa who had been wounded by Arab stone throwing a few days ago, also was present among the demonstrators. She had just left the hospital the day before after being operated on her arm.

The messages of all speakers were crystal clear:

We will not stay quiet when stones are being hurled at Jews. Arabs who throw rocks at Jews intend to kill Jews and should be dealt with accordingly.

To the Prime Minister of Israel the message was: Stand firm! Don't capitulate or cave in to Barack Hussein Obama! The people of Israel are strong and will stay strong even in case of US sanctions against Israel.

A person who showed immense courage was a resident of Neve Daniel who told the crowd about her experience a few days ago when she was stoned by Arabs on her way from Tekoa to Neve Daniel. After the stoning, with her front windshield smashed, she decided not to flee but rather stopped her car in the middle of the road thereby blocking the road till the army arrived. She turned to the Prime Minister and demanded he provide her and all other residents with security, to enable her to go to work.

At the end of the speeches the crowd went down to the street and started to march towards El-Arub to prove our independence and our determination to continue walking freely everywhere. The police were surprised by this, but could not stop us, for we were many people. After marching some 500 meters towards Hebron we turned back. We had made our statement.

The organizers of the vigil announced that this is just the opening event. It is clear that in case of further stone-throwing, we will not stop at quiet demonstrations.

Temple Institute wants to Offer Biblical Passover Sacrifice

(IsraelNN.com) The Temple Mount Institute has filed suit in its fight for the right to sacrifice a sheep on the Temple Mount prior to Passover, as commanded in the Torah.

"The command to perform a Paschal [Passover] sacrifice is a positive commandment; the punishment for failing to perform it is 'karet' [lit. -- 'cut off', meaning that a person is cut off from the Nation of Israel], and it can be performed only on the day before Passover and only on the Temple Mount,” the organization explained in a petition to the Supreme Court. Fighting the group's request are the Israel Police, who argue that the sacrifice would lead to Muslim riots and thus threaten public safety.

Jews have the right to offer animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount under Israeli law, the organization claimed. Israelis are guaranteed the right to freedom of worship, and Israel prides itself in allowing members of all faiths to access their holy sites...

Are we seeing the beginning (heaven forbid) of the Obama intifada?

The escalating Arab rioting today in Jerusalem and the West Bank is undoubtedly being stoked up by the fact that the Obama administration has turned so viciously against Israel. Doubtless as a result the Arabs now smell victory within their grasp and may now unleash another wave of violence against Israelis.

Every single one of their recent ‘grievances’ is not just fabricated but stands history and justice on their heads. The ostensible cause of today's rioting, the re-opening yesterday of the ancient Hurva synagogue in the heart of the Jewish quarter of Jerusalem's Old City, is a typical example of this fanatical moral and historical inversion. The Hurva has been under reconstruction for years. The Palestinian campaign of incitement over it carries the message that Jews cannot build places of worship in their own city. And before anyone says any of Jerusalem is ‘occupied Palestinian territory’, it is not and never was 'Palestinian'. In every single attempt to resolve the Middle East impasse, Jerusalem was always regarded as a special case on its own; and from the mid 19th century onwards it has had uninterruptedly a Jewish majority.

The Hurva synagogue has been rebuilt, moreover, because it was twice destroyed by Muslims. Its history, as recounted by Leo Rennert, is testimony both to the uninterrupted presence of Jews in Jerusalem and to the uninterrupted attempts by Muslims to remove that presence:

The Hurva was the the Jewish landmark in Jerusalem in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was a magnet for early Zionists, religious and non-religious. Theodore Herzl was a visitor, and so were many other Jewish notables from far and wide. The first synagogue on the site was built in 1701. Jews had obtained a loan for its construction from Muslims. But Jerusalem's Jewish community, mired in poverty, couldn't repay the debt, so Muslim creditors destroyed the synagogue.

But Jewish residents, with some outside help, rebuilt the Hurva and turned it into a magnificent landmark...that is, until 1948, when less than two weeks after Israel declared independence, Jordanian forces moved into the Old City and destroyed the Hurva -- with only the great arch left as a reminder of its former glory. And so it remained for six decades. From 1948 until 1967, Jews were barred by Jordan from even approaching the Hurva ruins, just as they were barred from praying at the Western Wall. After Israel captured the Old City in 1967, the Hurva Arch stood for many years as a stark reminder of a sad chapter in Jewish history.

Then a meticulous rebuilding and renovation effort was begun several years ago. It culminated on March 15, 2010 in the official reopening of the Hurva as an exact replica of the 19th-century synagogue, including the surviving Arch, which is now a permanent part of the new Hurva. Henceforth, it won't just be a dramatic reminder of the past; it will resume its age-old function as a place of worship.

And once again it is the target of Muslim attempts to exterminate the Jewish presence in Jerusalem. Yet Obama, who accuses Israel of frustrating the ‘peace process’ by building in east Jerusalem by agreement with his own administration, is silent over this inflammatory and disgusting Palestinian attack on a Jewish place of worship. It would seem that for Obama ‘peace’ means the surrender of Israel to Arab violence.

As former New York mayor Ed Koch has said, the pressure the US is now bringing to bear upon Israel is unforgiveable. It is an astonishing demonstration of cynicism and malicious intent. Noah Pollak says that Obama is trying to get rid of Netanyahu by pushing him into a corner. But much worse still, Obama’s deliberate decision to escalate what was at most a tactless but minor diplomatic blunder by Israel makes America an accessory to the violence that is now taking place and may get worse. Even this Ha’aretz writer thinks so:

But perhaps what is most important is this: Palestinians see the Obama administration’s decision to attack Israel as an invitation to adopt a more confrontational line. A previous settlement slowdown led Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to exploit the opportunity and make any new negotiations conditional on a total freeze in construction, including in east Jerusalem.

Now signals from Washington have led his political faction, Fatah, to start picking its own fight. A few days ago Prime Minister Salam Fayad called on Palestinians to rally to the Temple Mount to ‘defend Al-Aqsa’ after Israel announced the dedication of a synagogue ‘next door to the Al-Aqsa mosque’. Even the most secular of Palestinian politicians, PLO executive committee chairman Yasser Abed Rabo, joined in the condemnations and warned of an escalation.

The need to defend Al-Aqsa is more than a little exaggerated. The synagogue in question is not on the doorstep of the mosque. It is in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City on a site it has occupied for more than 300 years. But the PA has smelled blood. It understands that the international community will not concern itself with secondary details, such as the fact that the synagogue in question has would no doubt remain in Israeli territory under even the most generous future peace agreement. So why not start a riot and blame the Israelis, especially when the U.S. government is doing the same.

Precisely. Middle America, those millions of mainly Christian souls who are Israel’s staunchest supporters in the world, should be made aware of what their President is doing – turning the United States into a betrayer of democracy, human rights and the Jewish people to become no less than an accessory to terror.

There was a time, some forty years ago, when such messages would have been conveyed behind closed doors. Indeed, in 1967 and 1973 the Americans tried to bully Israel into eschewing preemptive strikes on the Arabs when clear intelligence indicated an intent to attack and destroy Israel. But the bullying was all done behind closed doors. Now the bullying is open and out in the open, and all the excuse making does not hide the fact that Obama and his sycophants are bullying Israel all the time. This is nothing but a falafel republic, on a lower level even than Lebanon.

When Israel ignored and defied the United States in 1967 it won a stunning victory, conquering the Sinai and liberating Gaza, Judea, Samaria, the Heights of Golan, and of course, unifying Jerusalem. When Israel caved in to American pressure in 1973, it fought desperately for its survival, suffering 2,500 casualties and losing diplomatically everywhere. The world is a cruel place and it stomps on losers. But more to the point, we can clearly see that the American government, no matter what face it puts on to the public to deceive it, is against the State of Israel. Its advice is inevitably a disaster for us.

Jerusalem District Police have closed the Temple Mount to visitors for the next three days due to fears of rioting by Arab worshipers...

Police Commissioner Dudi Cohen warned Friday that Israel would “not allow disturbances,” but said it was “important to maintain an open channel of communication with all the parties involved in order to preserve the peace and make it possible for everyone to worship as they wish.”

...Yehudah Glick, chairman of the Human Rights for the Temple Mount organization noted that it was “sad that the police punish the victims and reward the violence – once again closing the Temple Mount to Jews on a holy day.”

Glick was referring to the fact that the site will also be closed to Jews on Tuesday, the first day of the Hebrew month of Nissan and considered a holy day. “The police should bring in extra forces to ensure that the Mount remains open for everyone who is able to respect the site, and remove the radical, violent religious elements,” he said.

(IsraelNN.com) The veteran United States-based Young Israel movement condemned U.S. Vice President Biden on Thursday, telling Biden to leave Jerusalem alone. The American vice president had condemned Israel's decision to allow Jews to build in historic Jerusalem, in an area that has been annexed by Israel but is claimed by the Palestinian Authority.

"We strongly 'condemn' Vice President Biden's statements and respectfully urge him to rescind his incendiary remarks about Jerusalem,” said Young Israel President Shlomo Mostofsky.

"The reality is that there is no such entity as 'East Jerusalem,' there is only Jerusalem, which is the united capital of Israel,” Mostofsky continued. “Only Israel can make determinations regarding Jerusalem's future expansion and development.”

(IsraelNN.com) The restoration and construction of the Hurva Synagogue in the Old City of Jerusalem nears completion, with the dedication of the synagogue scheduled for next Monday, March 15. The Company for the Reconstruction and Development of the Jewish Quarter has completed one of the artistic aspects of the project - restoration of the synagogue's wall paintings. Arutz Sheva TV brings you in to the synagogue for a first visit to the restored Hurva.

A significant difficulty in the preservation and internal renewal of the Hurva Synagogue, which had been the center of life in ancient Jerusalem until Arabs destroyed it in 1948, was dealing with the many alterations that took place over the years the synagogue stood. The Holy Ark curtains, wall paintings, lamps, pulpits and other parts of the synagogue had all undergone various changes. leaving the restorers with the need to decide on which period of time the restoration should be based.
